Who We Are

“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:19-22)

Born and raised in Irving, Texas, Pastor Chad Burton graduated from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS) in 1998 with his Master of Divinity degree (MDiv). He then married his beautiful bride Jennifer Brann and accepted a job offer in Singapore, teaching at the Asia Theological Centre for Evangelism & Missions (ATCEM). During the two and a half years they were there, he and his wife sensed God’s calling to return to America and start a Church. Soon, God revealed His desire for His church to be in Irving, Texas – where Pastors Chad and Jennifer grew up!

In February 2001, they travelled to Irving briefly for a time of planning and implementing. Living Word Global Church had its first meeting, a Bible Study held at the Custer Residence. Later that year in September, Pastors Chad and Jennifer left Singapore and returned home for good.

In September 23, 2001, their first public meeting was held in the initial building that God had brought them together to worship Him – 118 W, Irving Blvd. In October 2002, God moved them into the current premises at 1917 Rindie St. It has been a place of gospel-centered ministry, wholesome fellowship, and a wonderful blessing to them ever since. Living Word Global Church – A beacon of hope, light and love; Christ’s lighthouse to the world.

“But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.” (1 Corinthians 12:24-26)
